API usage
Approval flow (WARN)
WARN means pause
Do not execute the action until approval is recorded.
WARN requires an approval gate. Execution resumes only after approval.
Your system should surface the pending decision to an approver (human, your review workflow, incident channel), then wait.
Poll-based approval
API-only flow for checking approval state.
1) Call validate and receive a decision id.
2) If outcome is WARN, store the decision id and stop execution.
3) Poll the approval endpoint using your API key until approved.
4) Execute only once approval is true.
Approval is a checkpoint
Only approved requests should continue.
Approval is permission to proceed.
Your system should only execute after approval is confirmed.
