What retention means for customers.

AI Safety Gate applies a retention window to audit and decision records.

Older records may not be available through the product once they fall outside the retention window.

Design integrations so you do not depend on indefinite historical availability for runtime enforcement.

Enforcement decisions are always returned synchronously by the API; retention affects historical visibility, not whether requests are evaluated.
